Dr. Elizabeth (Liz) Boyd earned an MA and PhD in Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University. She has over 15 years’ experience as a consultant, completing a wide range of projects in cooperation with many different types of organizations. Dr. Boyd has worked with organizations ranging in size from the US Navy to small non-profits with fewer than 10 employees. She has worked with organizations of almost all types, ranging from manufacturing companies to technology and human services companies, educational institutions to Fortune 500 companies. Dr. Boyd has completed projects dealing with employee recruitment, selection, training, satisfaction, motivation, work-life balance, diversity and equity, and many other topics alongside these clients. In addition, she is an expert in survey design and analysis, meaning she is qualified to create and analyze data from employee surveys, ability tests, and similar.
In addition to her experience in consulting, Dr. Boyd also has 13 years’ experience as an academic. She has taught thousands of students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, published dozens of peer-reviewed academic articles on organizational psychology, and served as an editor for an international scientific journal. As a result she brings her scientist-practitioner perspective to each consulting project, leveraging her vast knowledge of what is known about organizational psychology and science, in balance with her knowledge of the real world and how business actually gets done.
As a presenter Dr. Boyd is experienced, knowledgeable, and engaging. She has consistently received excellent ratings from employees and other students who have attended her educational presentations. She has taught and presented to audiences ranging in size from 4 doctoral students to 500 employees of a large company and is adept at keeping an audience’s interest while conveying information in a digestible way. All these qualities make her an ideal Co-Founder and Chief Consultant at AWS.

Kathleen Bracken has orchestrated and facilitated the financial, administrative, human resources, and clerical support of a 30+ unit restaurant group for almost two decades. Her experience ranges from managing tailored customer support, marketing and content management efforts via social media to the tactical execution of year end tax processing for hundreds of employees. Her leadership ability, communications skills, executive functionality and creative vision are exemplified in her commitment to achievement, learning, and community growth . She is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga and meditation teacher who spent a decade teaching yoga to both private clients and in a public studio. She is a critical and active member of the William & Janet Strickler Nonprofit Center Board of Trustees, applying her public relations and organizational savvy to the work of the nonprofit’s communications committee. Her care for her community and professional and creative strengths are what give her the advantage in her role as Co-Founder and CEO of Ambridge Workforce Solutions.
